Sewing for Alabama’s Kids

Let’s give back to Alabama’s Tornado Victims
By using our talent of sewing!

We are going to have 4 sew ins at
American Sew N Vac
(To make cute simple outfits for the kids that has been affected)

When: May 13, 2011- 10am until
May 14, 2011- 10am until
May 20, 2011 during our UFOParty- 6- 12pm
May 26, 2011- 10am until

Call the store to reserve a sewing spot everyone is welcome!

Suggested sewing projects and supplies:

Projects- easy sew patterns examples- A lines, Jon Jon’s, Pillow slip dresses, easy sew shorts and t-shirts to put a simple applique or design on.

Supplies- patterns, scissors, thread, embroidery thread, fabric, ribbon, needles, power cords, machines and accessories (if you need a machine we can supply one, just call the store to reserve it). We have had some donations of money and are purchasing some t-shirts, fabric and ribbon to share. If you can’t make one of these dates but would like to help you can sew at home and deliver your garments to the store by May 26th.
